Hello, I’m Selen. It took me some time to discover my love for children’s books and illustration. After college, a career in marketing, and completing an MBA in Cape Town (a city I’ll mention at any given chance because I’m still head over heels for it), I co-founded an educational startup (inekle.com) in Turkey.

However, it wasn't until my daughter, Ela, arrived that I truly found my calling. Diving into the magical world of picture books felt like a long-awaited homecoming.

Today, I am a self-taught illustrator, living in Amsterdam with my family.
